Lewis C. Trusheim, D.M.D., M.S.

Dr. Trusheim graduated from Muhlenberg Collage in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science, received a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University Dental School in 1975, then completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1979 at the University of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital. While in Rochester, he completed a research Masters of Science degree in Physiology from the University of Rochester.

He was the Chairman of the Danbury Hospital Department of Dentistry from 1986-1998, and has been the Section-Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Danbury Hospital since 1983. He is currently on the medical staffs of Danbury and Norwalk Hospitals. He is actively involved in teaching as the chief of the OMS section of the Danbury Hospital General Practice Residency.

Dr. Trusheim is board Certified by the ABOMS, and a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is an active member of the Connecticut Society of Oral/Maxillofacial Surgeons, having served on it’s executive committee for ten years and as President 1998 to 2000.
